HTML Forms, Javascript, and the Document Object Model (posted 19 January 2004)
Tonight’s class will have lots of hands-on exercises. We’ll be playing around with javascript and forms, looking at cross-platform issues and incompatibilities.
This past Monday's (1/19)class was both fun and interesting. It gave me many new "web toys" to play around with. It should be interesting trying to get these things to all work on my own.
I was wondering if there was any more information regarding the scope and schedule for the group assignment. I have read through the class site info, but can't seem to find any details. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Bob
I have also been looking for more material about the projects: the group project and the final individual project. It seems like it's going to be difficult to complete two large projects when we only have three weeks of class remaining.
Professor Lawley, please post as much as possible about the projects and the future reading. It would be helpful if we had the reading in advance so we could struggle with the material on our own prior to when you explain it to us in class.
Thank you,
Vince

I don't generally post a lot of details about it early, because it depends on the technology-intensive material we haven't covered yet, and so it tends to generate more questions than answers at this point. I will post a general discussion of it later today, however.
The final group project is simply an implementation of the site you've been designing. Per the course outline, it will be presented in class during week ten.
And this week I'm giving the week off in terms of readings, since everyone seems to be feeling a bit overwhelmed; that's why there were no new readings posted.
